The Jordan CP3.VIII was the top of the line of basketball shoes on the market at the time of its release. And while the shoe may be a favorite today, it still has many players who prefer other brands in the basketball shoe category.
This is due to the fact that while some of the models are comfortable and have a great look to them, they don’t have nearly the feel of the Jordan we all know and love. But do the things the Jordan does still have the same appeal as it did back in the day?
The answer is yes and no. Yes, because of the CP3.VIII is still sold at a price that’s right for any basketball player. While there are some really good looking models out there, none of them match up to the retro feel that the classic Nike model had when it was released back in the 1980s.
Many of the new models that have come out since then don’t even come close to replicating the original feel or look. So if you want the feel of the retro shoes, you’ll need to go with a more recent release. There are a lot of great looking basketball shoes in that price range now.
So, while the Jordan that was released in the mid-1990s is still considered by many to be the best basketball shoes ever made, that doesn’t mean that a model like the one released a few years later won’t be just as popular. It just means that if you’re looking for a retro feeling basketball shoe, then you’ll need to look beyond the mid-90s.
Luckily, there are plenty of basketball shoes out there today that give players the look that the classic Jordan shoes were capable of back in the day. Just remember that they have a certain amount of cushioning built into them, so they’re not the same for everyone.
